Φυγαδεύτηκε από τα τείχη της Θεσσαλονίκης, ενώ
θεωρώντας το έργο του εκεί ημιτελές έστειλε από
την Κόρινθο την «Α’ Επιστολή προς Θεσσαλονικείς»,
μεταξύ 50-51 μ.Χ., η οποία μαζί με τη Β’ Επιστολή
αποτελούν τα πρώτα γραπτά κείμενα του
Αποστόλου Παύλου και της Καινής Διαθήκης.
