SCULPTURES
At the New Waterfront, the Garden
of Sculptures –a “green art room”–
is a respite from the city’s hustle
and bustle, as it also functions as a
modern civic open museum, inviting
the visitors to observe the statues,
walk around them and touch them. Στη
Νέα Παραλία, ο Κήπος των Γλυπτών,
ένα «πράσινο δωμάτιο τέχνης», είναι
μια ευχάριστη ανάσα ενάντια στους
ρυθμούς της πόλης, λειτουργώντας
σαν ένα σύγχρονο δημόσιο ανοιχτό
μουσείο, που προσκαλεί τους επισκέπτες
να παρατηρήσουν τα γλυπτά από
κοντά, να περπατήσουν γύρω τους
και να τα αγγίξουν.

WEAVING MUSEUM OF ARNAIA
Housed in an 1870s traditional mansion, the museum presents
the unknown treasure of Arnaia’s local tradition. Besides the
process of the raw material’s conversion, such as the wool
turning into thread, there are also weft fabric samples, several
tools, threads and dye colours, and the visitor will have the
opportunity to admire the so-called “calligraphic” Arnaian
carpets. Στεγασμένο σε ένα παραδοσιακό αρχοντικό, το
μουσείο υφαντικής παρουσιάζει έναν άγνωστο θησαυρό της
τοπικής παράδοσης της Αρναίας. Εκτός από τη διαδικασία
μετατροπής πρώτων υλών, όπως το μαλλί σε νήμα, Prodromos Nikiforidis
παρουσιάζονται υφαντά, εργαλεία, γυαλιά, νήματα και
βαφές, ενώ έχετε την ευκαιρία να δείτε από κοντά τα
