The title takes the name of
Lampros Psyrrakis’ most recent
research, which uses the support
surface (paper or canvas) as
a design, leaving the artistic
imprint on a fluid, clean, white,
untouched space. The quality
of the canvas or the paper
grain is incorporated into the
artwork, making reference to art
history and Kazimir Malevich’s
“floating suprematism” from
1915. Ο τίτλος αποτελεί το
όνομα της πιο πρόσφατης
έρευνας του Λάμπρου Ψυρράκη,
στην οποία χρησιμοποιεί την
επιφάνεια στήριξης, το χαρτί
ή τον καμβά, με την έννοια
του σχεδίου, αφήνοντας τη
ζωγραφική χειρονομία σε
έναν ρευστό, καθαρό, λευκό,
ανέγγιχτο χώρο. Η ποιότητα
του καμβά ή του κόκκου
του χαρτιού ενσωματώνεται
στο έργο, παραπέμποντας
τον γνώστη της ιστορίας της
τέχνης στον «αιωρούμενο
σουπρεματισμό» του Καζιμίρ

CYCLADIC COLONIES IN THE NORTHERN AEGEAN
The fascinating history of Greek Colonisation unfolds through a grandiose exhibition
focusing in the phenomenon of the colonisation of the Northern Aegean by the
Cycladians during the 7th c. BC. The narration follows the historical course of the
cities –metropolises or colonies– incorporating mythological references, literary and
epigraphic testimonies, the historical and archaeological data, and elements of other
recent relevant studies, such as anthropological, paleobotanical, etc. Η συναρπαστική
ιστορία του Ελληνικού Αποικισμού ξεδιπλώνεται μέσα από μια μεγαλειώδη έκθεση,
με επίκεντρο το φαινόμενο του αποικισμού του Bορείου Αιγαίου από τους Κυκλαδίτες
κατά τον 7o αι. π.Χ. Η αφήγηση ακολουθεί την ιστορική διαδρομή
των πόλεων ενσωματώνοντας μυθολογικές αναφορές, φιλολογικές
και επιγραφικές μαρτυρίες, ιστορικά και αρχαιολογικά δεδομένα
και στοιχεία άλλων πρόσφατων σχετικών μελετών, όπως
