She’s fascinated by what
others pass by and has
chosen nine familiar
“unknown” spots in the
city, composing a series
of surrealist images and
introducing “Invisible
Thessaloniki” to us. With
the location itself in the
starring role and the human
element as supporting cast,
the photographer unfolds
the city’s rich history. In
the future she wishes that
Thessaloniki gets the place
she deserves as the Balkans’
metropolis. Γοητευμένη
απ’ όσα οι άλλοι
προσπερνούν, επέλεξε
εννιά γνωστά-«άγνωστα»
σημεία της πόλης,
συνέθεσε μια σειρά από
σουρεαλιστικές εικόνες και
μας συστήνει την «Αθέατη
Θεσσαλονίκη». Με
πρωταγωνιστή τον ίδιο τον
τόπο και την ανθρώπινη
παρουσία να λειτουργεί
συμπληρωματικά, η
φωτογράφος ξεδιπλώνει
την πλούσια ιστορία της
πόλης, ενώ εύχεται η
Θεσσαλονίκη να πάρει τη
θέση της ως μητρόπολη
των Βαλκανίων.
