SHOOING EVIL
Goat-like figures wearing large bells and colourful
masks take the streets bouncing, hollering and
teasing the passers-by, exchanging wishes and
receiving treats. The custom of the Kodonofori (Bell
bearers) revives in numerous areas of Greece, and the
celebrations peak on the weekend before Ash Monday.
This year, the most vivid parade of Bell bearers from
Greece and all over Europe will pass again through
Thessaloniki. Just follow the bells! Τραγόμορφες

ευχές και προσφέρουν κεράσματα. Το έθιμο των
Κωδωνοφόρων αναβιώνει σε πολλά μέρη της Ελλάδας,
με τους εορτασμούς να φουντώνουν το τελευταίο
τριήμερο της Αποκριάς. Η πιο ζωντανή παρέλαση
Κωδωνοφόρων από την Ελλάδα και την Ευρώπη θα
περάσει για ακόμα μια χρονιά από τη Θεσσαλονίκη. Just
