        This unique theme park in
        Chalkidiki honours the insights
        of the great ancient Greek
        philosopher Aristotle. Το
        μοναδικό θεματικό πάρκο
        της Χαλκιδικής τιμά το έργο
        του μεγάλου αρχαίου Έλληνα
        φιλόσοφου Αριστοτέλη.

At a distance of 73 km from
        Thessaloniki, at northeastern Chalkidiki,
on the road to Ouranoupolis, we
encounter one of the most beautiful
        places with panoramic view in
        Chalkidiki: Ancient Stagira. At this
historic village, at an altitude of
        approximately 550-meters beside the
remains of Mahalas, the capital of
        Mademochoria, is the Aristotle’s Park,
a unique theme park of Chalkidiki. It
is worth a visit to see the interesting
instruments and devices and enjoy the
great view to the gulf of Ierissos. The
        park preexisted and the wonderful
location was chosen in 1956 to host
the statue of Aristotle, made by
sculptor Nicholas, in honour of the
great philosopher who was born in
        Ancient Stagira. The unique interactive
        experimental instruments in the
park area were installed there in 2003
and they operate by rules of physics
        mentioned in Aristotle’s notes, and
especially in his “Physics”. Among them
        you’ll see telescope, prism, sundial,
        optical discs, pendulum and inertia
spheres. With this addition, the park
