84 THESSALONIKI INTERNATIONAL FAIR
In 1926 the first TIF takes place, “similar to other international Trade Fairs in the West”, following the vision of the man who
thought it up, Nikolaos Germanos, a tireless scientist and MP. The innovative organization is developed to the biggest exhibition
event in Greece and in the Balkans, smashing one record of visitation after another. This year, in the 84th TIF, having as essential
pillars extroversion and innovation, they are focusing in New Technologies, whereas the honoured country is India. Το 1926
πραγματοποιείται η πρώτη ΔΕΘ, «όμοια με τις διεθνείς εν Εσπερία γενομένας εμποροπανηγύρεις», όπως την οραματιζόταν Thessaloniki Confidential archive
ο εμπνευστής, Νικόλαος Γερμανός, δραστήριος επιστήμονας και βουλευτής. H πρωτοποριακή διοργάνωση έχει εξελιχθεί στο
μεγαλύτερο εκθεσιακό γεγονός της Ελλάδας και των Βαλκανίων καταρρίπτοντας το ένα ρεκόρ επισκεψιμότητας μετά το άλλο.
Φέτος, στην 84η ΔΕΘ, με βασικούς πυλώνες την εξωστρέφεια, την επιχειρηματικότητα και την καινοτομία, δίνεται έμφαση στις Νέες
