To Meet, to Know, to Dare. The
gates of a landmark-exhibition
are opening once again. Η έκθεση-
θεσμός της Θεσσαλονίκης ανοίγει
για άλλη μια χρονιά τις πύλες της.

In 1926 the first TIF takes place, “similar
to other international Trade Fairs in the
West”, following the vision of the man
who thought it up, Nikolaos Germanos,
a tireless scientist and MP. This event,
pioneering for the Greek standards at
that time, is developed to an eminent
dynamic institution that promotes
entrepreneurship, and TIF is today
inseparable from the history of the city.
At this year’s 83rd TIF-HELEXPO, USA will
be the honoured country, bringing to life
in Thessaloniki the “American Dream.”
Το 1926 πραγματοποιείται η πρώτη
ΔΕΘ, «όμοια με τις διεθνείς εν Εσπερία
γενομένας εμποροπανηγύρεις», όπως την
οραματιζόταν ο εμπνευστής της, Νικόλαος
Γερμανός, δραστήριος επιστήμονας και
βουλευτής. Η πρωτοποριακή για την
Ελλάδα διοργάνωση έχει εξελιχθεί σε
κορυφαίο δυναμικό θεσμό προαγωγής
της επιχειρηματικότητας και πλέον
η ΔΕΘ ταυτίζεται με την ιστορία της
Θεσσαλονίκης. Στη φετινή 83η ΔΕΘ-
HELEXPO τιμώμενη χώρα είναι οι ΗΠΑ,
ζωντανεύοντας έτσι στην πόλη το
«Αμερικανικό Όνειρο».
